People’s Leasing and Finance’s Islamic Finance Unit, PLC Al-Safa, has reaffirmed its leadership in Sri Lanka’s shariah-compliant financial services sector by capturing six prestigious honors at the tenth Islamic Finance Forum of South Asia (IFFSA) Awards 2025.
This milestone marks the unit’s proud 20th anniversary of service in the Islamic banking and finance industry.
PLC Al-Safa’s achievements spanned both individual and institutional categories. Ahamed Fahmy Mohamed Faiz was honored with the Gold award for Branch Executive of the Year, while Safra Firdhouse received the Silver award for Islamic Banker/Employee of the Year. The Puttalam Al-Safa Branch claimed Gold for Islamic Finance Branch of the Year, and the Digital Marketing “We are truly grateful for this recognition, which highlights the hard work and creativity of our entire team,” said Fazmil Mowlana, Chief Manager – Islamic Finance and Digital Products at PLC Al-Safa. “Our focus continues to be on offering shariah-compliant financial solutions that not only meet customer needs but also set new standards for innovation and service excellence.”
