At the People’s Leasing Toastmasters Club Tenth Installation Ceremony.
The People’s Leasing Toastmasters Club celebrated its tenth Installation Ceremony, marking a decade of fostering communication and leadership skills, while also ushering in a new era for the club by introducing new members and launching its official LinkedIn page.
Prof. Ajantha Samarakoon, Chairman, PLC was the Chief Guest, and DTM Niroshan Nadarajah, District Director of Toastmasters District 82, as the Guest of Honor.
TM Niranjan De Silva delivered a compelling keynote address, highlighting the importance of Toastmasters in personal and professional development. Distinguished guests included DTM Bhathiya Hettiarachchi, District 82 Program Quality Director; DTM Piyakara Jayaratne, District 82 Club Growth Director; and DTM Kasun Wijethilake, Division F Director. The event also featured corporate management from PLC and PML, along with guests from various Toastmasters Clubs, showcasing the strong community spirit within the organization.
A highlight of the evening was the induction of 16 new members into the PLC Toastmasters Club, showcasing its growth and commitment to developing leaders.
The Executive Committee for 2025/2026 was installed, comprising TM Nilupuli Gunawardena (President), TM Sanjeewa Kamburugamuwa (VP Education), TM Safra Firdhouse (VP Membership), TM Sameera Mihiran (VP Public Relations), TM Dasuni Thenuwara (Secretary), TM Sanduni Dulanjalee (Treasurer), and TM Dilushka Abirami (Sergeant at Arms).
