Dialog Axiata has published its 16th Annual Sustainability Report, detailing the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance for the financial year from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023. This report underscores Dialog’s commitment to sustainability and transparency, providing stakeholders with key insights into its initiatives and achievements.
Dialog became the first company in South Asia to comply with the SLFRS S1 and S2 standards in 2023. These localized standards, based on the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for sustainability disclosures, set benchmarks for corporate transparency in Sri Lanka. SLFRS S1 defines the general requirements for sustainability-related financial disclosures, while S2 mandates climate-specific reporting, aligning with global best practices to enhance accountability in corporate sustainability reporting.
Since 2010, Dialog has maintained continuous certification by the Global Report- ing Initiative (GRI) and became the first telecommunications provider in South Asia to comply with the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) reporting standards. Dialog’s leadership in transparency was further acknowledged when it ranked first in the 2023 Transparency in Corporate Reporting (TRAC) assessment by Transparency International Sri Lanka.
“We are delighted to share our latest Sustainability Report, reflecting our dedication to sustainable practices, corporate responsibility and transparency,” said Supun Weerasinghe, Director and Group Chief Executive, Dialog Axiata. “As the first in Sri Lanka to adopt the SLFRS standards, along with GSMA and SASB compliance, we are proud to align with local and international benchmarks. This strengthens our ability to measure and report progress, contributing to a more sustainable future and helping make a meaningful difference within our industry and beyond.”
