People’s Bank Card Center unveiled an Internet Payment Gateway (IPG) to facilitate ticket purchases and donations for the Sri Dalada Maligawa – International Buddhist Museum Complex. This new system enabled both local and international visitors to make payments conveniently using credit or debit cards from anywhere in the world.
The official launch ceremony was attended by Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela, People’s Bank Clive Fonseka, CEO/GM, Nilmini Premalal, DGM (Payment, Process Management & Quality Assurance), Naleen Pathiranage, DGM (Channel Management), Jayanath Dias, Head of Cards, Krishantha Hissella, Director – Media and Special Projects of Sri Dalada Maligawa, Nalin Poththewela, Kandy Regional Manager, People’s Bank and branch managers. The International Buddhist Museum, established by the Sri Dalada Maligawa Kandy, is the only museum that showcases the expansion of Buddhism throughout Asia and the rest of the world.
The introduction of the IPG is a significant enhancement for the museum. Offering a streamlined payment process is expected to improve accessibility and convenience for visitors and supporters worldwide. This development aligns with the museum’s mission to engage a broader audience and facilitate more accessible contributions and interactions with its exhibits.
