Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel, the national mobile service provider and South Asia’s first and only network with super 3.5G HSPA technology, handed out fantastic prizes to the winners of a grand promotion that aimed to reward customers and enhance the value of Mobitel services. Customers participated in the category through the frequent use of the SMART Share, voice SMS, video SMS, broadband, and Live The Design.
Speaking on the significance of the promotion, Roshan Kaluarachchi, Head of Marketing Management, Mobitel, said, “I am happy to say that we received a lot of responses for our promotion. Our objective through this promotion was to make our valuable customers aware how easy it is to use SMART and 3G services of Mobitel along with increasing the usage of SMART Share, Voice SMS and Video SMS.”
Also commenting on the promotion was Ashan Pathirana, a medical student, who said, “After the introduction of SMART 5 along with the good reception and uninterrupted service we have, I have seen a lot of people in my faculty switch to Mobitel. More than 90% of my friends are using this service. I feel that Mobitel is the best service there is.”
Dr Khamarj Wickramasinghe of Padukka, winner for Broadband Love category, received a HTC TyTN II 3G smartphone with a free Mobitel prepaid and postpaid connection. Harsha Dilshan of Minuwangoda, winner for Share Your Love category, got a 3G capable LG KU 250 with a free Mobitel prepaid or postpaid connection.
Under the Show Your Love category, Devkumar Fernando of Colombo 5, won a Samsung i600 3G phone with a free Mobitel prepaid or postpaid connection. Ajantha Pushpa Kumara of Pelawatta was the winner for the category of Voice Your Love. He was presented with a 3G capable Sony Ericsson W880 with a free Mobitel prepaid or postpaid connection. S M Weerasekara of Pothukoladeniya was the lucky winner for Live The Design category, and was presented with a Nokia N95 3G phone with a free Mobitel prepaid or postpaid connection.
