Art enthusiasts were treated to a visually delightful experience when Shashini Ranasinghe held her second solo exhibition ‘Prati Ru 2009′ at the Kala Bhavna Art Gallery recently. Her website www.shashiu.com was launched by the chief guest First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa amidst a huge gathering of distinguished guests.
The website displays her profile as a talented artist in addition to her many passions in life. It was created by BT Options and Emphasis.
Shashini Ranasinghe who is a mother of two, pursued her passion for 3D art as a hobby to occupy herself when her kids were at school. On her development as an artist, she said, “This is something that I am very passionate about. It takes a lot of time as you have to concentrate on each and every piece that is to be created.”
“I am happy to have launched my website, which will help create awareness of my art as well as the organisation ‘Vismita Viskam’ that I am helping through this exhibition,” she added.
