Harry Jayawardena was bestowed the Knight Cross of Dannebrog, the Danish version of the British Knighthood, by the Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II. Harry Jayawardena, who is the Consul General in Colombo for the Scandinavian nation, received the award for his outstanding and exemplary contribution to Denmark and for fostering bilateral ties between Sri Lanka and Denmark. The Queen’s presentation was made by Lonsmann Poulsen, Ambassador of Denmark at a ceremony attended by political, diplomatic and business personnel.
