Gearing forward in the Life Insurance industry, Ceylinco Life opened their new office building in Havelock Road, Colombo 5. The company-owned Ceylinco Life Tower is equipped with state-of-the- art technology and facilities to better serve the company’s clients.
A host of invitees from the Banking and Insurance industries graced the opening ceremony led by the Chief Guest, Joint Deputy Chairman Ceylinco Life, Rajkumar Renganathan.
Built on 36 perches land and comprising of 62,000 square feet of office space, the new building will rise to 10 levels, including a basement, ground floor, eight floors, a mezzanine and roof terrace. The new office will also have two elevators with 12-passenger capacity each, an auditorium, which can accommodate 150 persons and a parking area for 35 cars. A full-facility auditorium/training centre, a well-equipped gymnasium, refectory, function rooms and a spacious customer lobby are among the features of the new building, which is also equipped with a sophisticated CCTV Camera system, intelligent building management system (BMS), access-controlled doors system and a high precision fire detection and fire fighting system. The new office also has a standby 500 KVA generator. Designed by Design Group Five International, with structural engineering by Saro Weerasuriya and cost consultation by Cost Consultancy Services, the building was constructed by Tudawe Brothers.
Addressing the gathering, Ceylinco Life’s Joint Deputy Chairman Rajkumar Renganathan stated, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every member of our staff for their hard work and commitment that aided us in emerging from these difficult times. As I stand before you today at the opening of the Ceylinco Life head office I would like to dedicate this building to our trusted employees the very lifeblood of this organisation”. He also added, “we have been in the insurance industry for the past 22 years and today we have moved to the Ceylinco Life Towers after building a very strong company and after building enough reserves for our policyholders and all stakeholders”.
The new head office provides easier accessibility to Ceylinco Life’s employees, policyholders and all stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering Ceylinco Life’s Deputy Chief Executive Director, Thushara Ranasinghe, expressed his gratitude to all the professionals who were involved in designing and building the Ceylinco Life Tower. He went on to say, “I believe that this building will take Ceylinco Life to the next few decades in the long journey in the Life Insurance industry.”
R Renganathan stated, “The opening of Ceylinco Life Tower should be considered a symbolic beginning of a new phase in the growth of the company”.
