Vision Care Optical Services opened its new Galle branch in Magalle. “The new premises, on the outskirts of Galle town have a spacious parking facility and anyone can come to buy spectacles in a relaxing atmosphere,” said Dasantha R Fonseka, CEO of Vision Care.
The company noted that it is not only targeting the high-end market segment. It has a range of products varying from the cheapest to the high ends inclusive of a collection of world-renowned designer brands, the company stated.
It was further explained that eye related testing facilities including an eye care pharmacy and several other high-tech testing facilities are offered at the corporate office and that Vision Care is the only ISO certified optical services company in the country.
“We have a vision of opening two branches a year,” Fonseka said, adding that Vision Care also operates a mobile optical service with a bus converted as a mobile optical care service – one of its kind in the country. The company hopes to open branches in all nine provinces. “We target underserved areas,” Fonseka said.
“By 2010, our target is to become the best eye-care centre in the whole of Southeast Asia,” says Fonseka.
