The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the International Trade Center UNCTAD/WTO will be presenting a Business Guide seminar and a workshop on the implications of the Uruguay Round on Sri Lanka Business Sector.
The Program will introduce the rules of the new trading system in terms of their impact on specific operations.
The seminar will be presented by ITC/WTO Resource Persons and will review the implications of the Uruguay Round Agreements and discuss the specific challenges and opportunities they present for the development of International Business in Sri Lanka.
The workshop will mainly focus on International Joint Ventures and the WTO agreement in Trade in Goods and Services, Trade Related Intellectual Property Rights and Trade Related Investment Measures and will be of special interest to those engaged in joint venture projects.
The seminar and the workshop will be held in December 1997.
