Sri Lanka Insurance, the country’s largest and strongest composite insurance provider, walked away with a Silver award at the HRM Awards organised by the Association for Human Resources Professionals (AHRP), in collaboration with Hewitt Associates India.
The company’s HR practices are aligned with global standards to bring dynamism to the excellent expertise already available, and high priority is given to people development to achieve organisational objectives.
Mahesh Jayasinghe, Head of HRD, said, “People development is one of the key areas focused on at the moment, and a variety of development programmes are designed for this purpose, in order to retain the key talent within the organisation. We also work closely with the families of employees, and with the community through outings, career guidance, scholarships, health clinics, and other opportunities.”
