SLT signed an agreement with Abacus International to link 100 travel agents using its advanced Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN) technology. The link is expected to bring flexibility and scalability to meet the requirements of the two companies. The technology, which delivers both networks, costs savings and real business benefits will also enable travel agents to link all offices, remote workers and mobile employees. This is to ensure information is shared in a cost effective and secure environment.
SLT’s IP VPN will be solution that produces the desired cost savings while maintaining the required network security and remote access;’ Shuhei Anan, CEO SLT stated. Under the contract, SLT will provide core network management as well as flexible access options and multiple service levels to match varying needs of the travel industry. There will be full interoperability between IP VPN and existing network technology and equipment used by the travel industry to minimise disruption and cost.
