People’s Bank picked the first millionaire in ‘People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai, Ewannai Dinannai’ draw. The monthly winner of February as well as the daily and weekly winners for the third and fourth weeks of the month of February were selected. Accordingly, the monthly winner will receive an award of one million rupees’ cash prize.
Two weekly winners will receive 22-karat gold sovereigns, and 14 daily winners will receive awards of 10,000 rupees each.
People’s Bank launched the ‘People’s Remittance Vaasi kotiyayi’ draw to encourage and appreciate Sri Lankan migrant workers who work tirelessly to strengthen the country’s economy and build a better life for themselves and their families. Under this promotion, the grand draw winner selected at the year-end will receive a grand prize of 10 million rupees.
One million rupees monthly winners will be chosen every month, 22K gold sovereign weekly winners will be selected 48 times. Ten thousand daily cash prize winners will be selected 334 times until December 31, 2022.
