Etihad Airways announced the launch of its daily service between Abu Dhabi and Manchester this month. Manchester will be Etihad Airways’ third UK destination.
“Demand for air travel between the north of England and the UAE is growing every year. Business and leisure travelers will be able to travel between two of the fastest growing global hubs,” said Geert Boven, Vice President of Commercial, Etihad Airways.
The new Etihad route will serve many of the 650,000 Britons who visit the UAE each year, in addition to the estimated 95,000 British citizens living in the UAE. Trade between the UAE and the UK is set to grow rapidly with the launch of the new Etihad Airways’ Manchester route. The UAE is the largest market in the Middle East for the UK.
