Diesel & Motor Engineering (DIMO) recently organised a seminar and workshop on “Lighting the Future”. Architects, consultants and key opinion leaders in the building and project business were invited for this event, along with their families.
DIMO Lighting organised this event to educate the relevant individuals about the importance of maintaining international standards in selecting lighting solutions and equipment.
Commenting on the event DIMO Chairman, Ranjith Pandithage mentioned that, “the developments happening in the field of lighting and related technologies is amazing. And we in Sri Lanka are not yet exposed to some of these advances. We wanted to get the best people in Europe to come down and present these wonderful technologies to our top customers. And we are very happy with the feedback we have got from both parties.”
Representatives from RZB, Vossloh Schwabe and Siemens participated at the event, and carried out comprehensive and technical presentations to the audience. These included videos, PowerPoint presentations, product demonstrations, detailed descriptions of key projects carried out around the world, the latest technologies in LED, advances in decorative lighting, futuristic developments in lighting, energy audits and myths and how lighting can effect changes in human moods and attitudes. They spoke on lamps, modules, light engines, OLED light designs, outdoor luminaries, indoor luminaries, dimmers and LED modules and special lighting solutions.
