Bank of Ceylon (BOC) entered the newly built Laggala Green Town, which replaced the old town that was submerged during the Moragahakanda Kalu- Ganga reservoir project.
The Laggala Green town has been constructed following new urban concepts, incorporating future requirements of its residents. The BOC Laggala branch was ceremoniously opened by Ranjith Aluvihare, the State Minister of Tourism Development, Wildlife and Christian Religious Affairs. Ronald C Perera, President’s Counsel and Chairman, Senarath Bandara, the CEO/GM and C Amarasinghe, the Deputy General Manager Sales and Channel Management and Y A Jayathilaka, Assistant General Manager Central Province, BOC were also present on this occasion. The Manager of BOC Laggala branch and his staff officiated the event and customers and well-wishers as well attended the opening.
This branch too is connected to the rest of the 634 branches through a centralized network, thus allowing customers to transact real-time with any of the branches in the network across the country
