Ammeraal is a Dutch based organisation which specializes in the development and manufacture of process and conveyor belting for light to medium applications. These belts are available in PVC, polyurethane, polyethylene and rubber and have a unique endless jointing system. They are designed for industrial bakeries, food processing plants, airports etc.
Ammeraal was one of the first to use modern plastics in the production of process and conveyor belting. Founded in 1950 as a one man business, it has grown into an international group operating throughout the world with 11 wholly owned subsidiaries and 30 branches in Europe, North America and Asia.

The sole distributors of Ammeraal process and conveyor belts in Sri Lanka are Colombo Machinery and Equipment Ltd. (CMEL). CMEL has set up a workshop near the Biyagama Industrial Zone to facilitate fabrication of belting to specified sizes. On the basis of many years of contact with designers, engineers and end-users Ammeraal has designed a comprehensive range of belts which are available in stock. Ammeraal trained services engineers are available for installation and problem solving.
