Hilton Colombo is holding its annual Oktoberfest celebrations for the 14th consecutive year, at its sports club car park. The event is held from October 26 to November 4, 2007.
For the event Three Coins is erecting a giant marquee which can accommodate over 400 people. There will also be a 10% discount on the total bill for groups over 20 from Monday to Thursday.
“One of the highlights of this year’s event is the authentic ingredients used for German brews by Three Coins. Traditional German cuisine can also be savoured like Bratwurst sausages and large garlic sausages prepared by German Butcher Stefan Hoen Ferdinand,” said Gigi De Silva, Marketing Communications Manager, Hilton Colombo.
William Costley, General Manager, Hilton Colombo said, “I’m delighted to be launching this event which is not new to Sri Lanka. This year we will hold a truly authentic Oktoberfest in terms of the food and beverage. I’m sure everyone will have a fantastic time.”
This year too the Bavarian band will be flown in and this is the main attraction of the event. Traditional Oktoberfest games such as power hammer, wrestling and dancing on tables are planned for the promotion.
