Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the number one integrated communications service provider in Sri Lanka, reaffirmed its commitment to educate the general public and the younger generation, in particular, by becoming the principal sponsor for the Deyata Kirula National Development Exhibition held at the BMICH. The exhibition, showcasing the country’s history from the present situation to predictions of what it would be in the future, is part of the government’s development endeavour under the ten-year plan outlined by the Mahinda Chinthana initiative.
SLT, together with Mobitel, presented the ‘home of the future,’ that featured an automated operation of home appliances, music, and other personal features such as chatting, Facebook, music making, recording, video calls and blogging, and mobile Eye as well as fixed mobile convergence. Connectivity for the stall and the BMICH premises was provided through the SLT broadband network and M3, Mobitel’s 3.5G technology.
