At the 14th AGM of the Sri Lanka Benelux Business Council Sega Nagendra of Equity Services was elected President while Ranee Ratnayake of A & A International (Opticians) and Upali Panditharatne of Mansel (Ceylon) were elected Vice Presidents.
Alida Ritsema, the First Secretary of the Netherlands Embassy made a presentation on the current activities of the Royal Netherlands Embassy.
The Business Council intends organising a mission to Benelux countries in February 2008 visiting both Brussels and Amsterdam. The objective of this mission would be to strengthen trade ties, establish business links and source suitable business partners for Trade, Investment, Joint Ventures, Technology Transfer and Services. This mission would assist participants in expanding to existing business contacts and allow them to penetrate into new markets.
