Trincomalee branch of the People’s Leasing & Finance continued to contribute to a “give life” initiative by successfully hosting their annual blood donation campaign for the second time.
In a context where community resistance is high in the area towards donating blood due to associated misconceptions, the branch positively responded to the annual request made by the Trincomalee General Hospital, coinciding with the branch anniversary celebrations.
Ably led by M. Kirupakaran, the Branch Manager of the Trincomalee Branch and his team, the blood donation drive was organized in line with the 19th Anniversary celebrations of the branch, generously volunteering their time, efforts, and resources for the successful completion of the campaign.
The generous solidarity marked the participation of 156 people, including PLC staff members, who voluntarily donated their blood. The branch team contributed to collecting 156 blood pints, marking the district’s highest volume of collected blood at a campaign. The initiative was ably supervised and tirelessly resourced by the Consultant. M.F. Zeena Zanooz, Dr. W.C.M.Samaraweera, Dr. P.Britikka, and Coordinator S.
