The Hatton National Bank Student Manager’s Conference for Trincomalee District was recently at St. Mary’s College, Trincomalee. Fifty Student Managers and Teachers In-charge participated in this programme.
The Conference was organized by S A Arumugan, Manager, Trincomalee branch to improve Students Manager’s knowledge in savings and other products of the bank.
He stated in his presentation that students savings units are like a bridge to maintain a good relationship between the schools and the bank with a mutual understanding to help each other in their development activities. Further, he mentioned that Student Mangers are the informal marketing officers of the bank to market the products of the bank among school students, teachers and their parents.
A briefing session on bank products was done by Vadivalagan, Executive, Agri Products to improve the knowledge of the student’s managers. R Ramkalyan, Assistant Manager of the Trincomalee conducted a presentation for the student managers on present banking trends and he insisted the students managers must upgrade their knowledge in latest technologies adopted by the Hatton National Bank such as SMS banking and Virtual Internet banking.
