Cornucopia Asia, a leading HR company headquartered in Bangalore, has decided to set up its local arm in January 2006, through Cornucopia Sri Lanka. Dinesh Weerakkody will manage the local operation as the Managing Director. According to the founder, N Ahamedali, a former Area Vice President of GlaxoSmithKline Asia Pacific, Cornucopia offers people-centric business solutions to its clients and their interventions seek to drive positive organizational change through influencing people. Weerakkody states that Cornucopia Sri Lanka will provide many cutting-edge HR solutions, basic HR administration and e-HR services plus will aim to provide local and overseas placement services as well as career guidance and counseling to professionals of various disciplines in Sri Lanka and other parts of Asia.
