Colombo Medilab has made 215 students happy at the K W Vigneswara Tamil Maha Vidyalaya in Panwila, Kandy, by rallying support from all staff members to contribute to a charity event, which included giving school supplies to each and every student at the school.
The staff of Colombo Medilab were welcomed with colourful decorations and the smiling faces of hundreds of students who had waited patiently for this special day to arrive. The staff were treated to various traditions of the local community, while school supplies were distributed throughout the rest of the day.
“We always make it a point to divert from our busy schedules at least once a year to give something without expecting anything in return.The grateful, genuine smiles on those children’s faces rewarded us in a way that money could never do and I’m sure these sentiments are shared by all those who contributed to this cause this year,” said Dr A A Mohamed Haroon, chairman.
