Ushering in the upcoming festive season, Taj Samudra Colombo hosted the traditional Christmas cake-mixing ceremony.
Sarabjeet Singh, Area Director, Sri Lanka and Maldives, and General Manager, Taj Samudra, Colombo, together with Taj associates welcomed diplomats, corporate guests and leading personalities to take part in their annual celebration of heralding in the much-awaited Christmas season. Among the distinguished invitees was John Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs.
Executive Chef Manjula Wickrema and his team enthusiastically presented the cake mixing and provided the guests with a seasonal spectacle. The team not only exhibited great skills in mixing the ingredients but also a unique flair for being creative as they added much flamboyance to the event. The ceremony began as the ingredients were passed around for mixing by the team of chefs. All guests who were present participated in mixing the ingredients.
