Thailand has held Gems & Jewellery fairs for 20 years consecu tively due to Thailand being the center of trade for gems and jewellry in Asia. The export figure for gems and jewellry alone reach upto US$2 billion.
The 20th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair ’97 is to be held from September 10 to 13, 1997, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok. The fair is organized by the Department of Export Promotion in conjunction with the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association, the Jewellers Association and the Thai Diamond Manufacturers Association. There will be 420 exhibitors participating in this fair. The displayed products comprise gold/silver jewelry, precious stones with gold/silver jewelry, loose stones, rough stones, precious metals, jewelry boxes etc. The fair provides an ideal opportunity for the buyers and sellers to meet each other. The first three days of the fair, September 10-12, are for trade visitors only.
