SLT Mobitel will give easy access for Sri Lankans to obtain foreign remittances transferred via MoneyGram at any of its branches countrywide. The service will be enabled in partnership with Hatton National Bank, the super-agent for MoneyGram in Sri Lanka, which will effectively allow SLT Mobitel to expand the number of locations in which customers can obtain MoneyGram Inward Remittance Services.
The receiver can simply visit the nearest SLT Mobitel branch and hand over the MoneyGram reference number and provide identification to collect money. Foreign inward remittances to Sri Lanka generates the highest revenue, and by expanding the delivery channels further, SLT Mobitel is proud to be contributing to the economic growth of the country.
In the near future, SLT Mobitel will integrate MoneyGram with mCash, in order to allow customers to transfer money directly to a mobile phone.
