Dilushi Talgaswatta was the grand prize winner of NDB Bank’s ‘Wish Away’ promotion held during 2006, which won her Rs1mn.
The holder of a NDB Bank savings account at the Navam Mawatha Branch, she hasn’t still decided how she will spend the money. “I will certainly use the money to make my wishes come true, as the ‘Wish Away’ promotion desired,” she said.
The grand draw was the culmination of a series of monthly branch draws and two quarterly draws, held between April and December last year among the NDB Bank Savings Account holders.
The response for the promotion was most encouraging. Participation was at a high level since it was a simple promotion. An NDB Bank Savings Account holder simply had to maintain a minimum daily balance of Rs10,000 in a savings account for one calendar month prior to the draw to qualify to participate.
