New chairman appointed at National Savings Bank

Sunil S Sirisena has been appointed as the new Chairman of the National Savings Bank. He is a senior officer in the Sri Lanka Administrative Service and he has also served as the Secretary to the Ministeries of Education, Co-operatives and Internal Trade and Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare.
Sirisena obtained his first degree in Economics (Special) with Honours from the University of Peradeniya and the Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics from the University of Colombo.
In addition, he had been conferred with the Diploma in Management for professionals from the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLDA).
As a senior officer in the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, he is equipped with more than 36 years of experience in the field of management.
In addition he has served as Chairman of the National Film Corporation and an Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Defence.
The duty assuming ceremony took place at the NSB Head Office, Kollupitiya and members of the senior management of NSB were present on the occasion.
