The Kekirawa branch of Bank Of Ceylon goes green
The Bank of Ceylon converted the Kekirawa branch as its third green branch. The bank's first two were Kilinochchi and Tissamaharama branches, which were opened in line with the bank's 77th anniversary in 2016.
"The Bank of Ceylon as a state bank, backs the economy of the country in very special ways, such as through financial inclusion. Kekirawa being a prominent agricultural area, which contributes to the country's agricultural output in a significant way, Bank of Ceylon is proud to be a stakeholder to assist people of this area," said Ronald C Perera, Chairman, BOC. The Kekirawa branch was refurbished with minimum material, which were eco-friendly and improved to give a better environment-friendly quality.
" We are equipped to serve any customer on any scale to fulfill their own financial needs with superior service. Moving along with the green banking concept, we are very pleased to bring our third green branch to Kekirawa town," added D M Gunasekera, General Manager, BOC. Senerath Bandara, the Deputy General Manager Sales and Channel Management, S Hewavitharana, Deputy General Manager Support Services, C Amarasinghe, Deputy General Manager Retail Banking, and Rohini R Kodithuwakku, Assistant General Manager North Central Province, members of the corporate and executive management and other staff members also participated at the opening.
